2nd Amendment

We have a 2nd Amendment because America’s founders believed armed citizens could fight back against tyranny.

The last two years have seen a large public outcry against what is perceived to be police racism and shootings of minorities.

In Dallas, 11 police officers were shot by a man who apparently believed he was exercising his 2nd Amendment rights to fight tyranny.

Our American system specifically has been set up to allow for people to arm themselves and fight the government for things they believe. Is this the best system? Are the lives of murdered police officers and murdered minorities the cost of getting to a more just country as the NRAs philosophy says or should we disarm the citizenry and perhaps get less change?

I honestly don’t know what’s best.
