Today’s Investment Options

I have been reviewing my investments over the last few days and I am not quite sure what is best to do.

My stocks are down about 10%, but the overall market is still very high which means the stocks could come down further. I tried to pick stocks that will do well if the USD comes down a bit or inflation goes up.

I am currently invested in Volkswagen, Lufthansa, Panasonic, Hitachi, two hospital companies and a couple of others. I don’t particularly believe in any of their management teams, but the stocks are cheap relative to sales and earnings. The fact that I don’t believe in their business models though does not match up with my investment philosophy.

I also have recently investigated TIPs (Treasury Inflation Protected Securities) and would like to purchase these. The bid / ask spreads are ridiculous, seems like brokerages are screwing their customers on them. Apparently you have to buy it straight from the government auction.

Long story short… I am not sure what to invest in right now.
