Parasites Vs Producers

Free speech is the most important building block of democracy. If you cannot freely debate ideas, then a democracy is impossible. Sometimes there will be ideas you disagree with so strongly you wish to censor them. But if you choose to censor them, you open your ideas to censorship.
Censorship has never held up well over time… Galileo and Socrates are but two names in a far too long list of individuals who have been censored, but later proven correct.
You may dislike my characterization of people who work and create goods and services as “Producers” and my characterization of those who take those goods and services by force as “Parasites”, but I find it to be very helpful to summarize the problem we face in two simple words.
The words are not inaccurate, let’s analyze Parasite first. The dictionary says parasite in its derogatory form means “a person who habitually relies on or exploits others and gives nothing in return.” I think that does an excellent job of describing those who collect government benefits or salary without doing anything of value.
I was using it to describe a government employed archaeologist who probably makes six figures but does nothing but get in the way of farmers trying to make food for people to eat. This person is going to drive 3 hours each way from Colville to come to my farm and waste my time and my farm manager’s time. And this parasite will make more money than either of us combined that day, so the term is a perfect description.

The government should have no assistance for farmers. If the government passes any regulations (labor, environmental, etc) on farmers, it needs steep tariffs though so it is an even playing field for farmers in our country vs imports from countries without those artificial restrictions.

Elon Musk has said himself he would like the government to do away with all handouts and just rely on market forces. Unfortunately, we live in a country that is turning socialist and taking huge percentages of producers’ work product at gunpoint. So we all have to play the stupid government games.
Fix the system and get rid of entitlements and handouts and the working poor would get far more money as they wouldn’t be dragged down by parasites.

Hate speech is the new word censors use to describe speech that they hate.

I think speech should be used as vividly as possible to convey ideas.
For nearly half a century, no one has paid much attention to the accounting of how the government spends its money. Accounting is boring. Special interest groups have abused this to get more and more money for themselves.
I am hopeful that my speech elicits stronger reactions and induces changes before our government and economy collapse under the weight of the special interest parasites.
