First Fifth Wheel Road Trip
I bought a new-to-me fifth wheel a couple of weeks ago, a 2021 Keystone Montana High Country 40′ long, that the previous owner lived in for a little over a year and kept in excellent condition.
My family and I slept in it the first night in our driveway to test it out and had fun.… read more “First Fifth Wheel Road Trip”

As long as we look to legislation to cure poverty or to abolish special privilege we are going to see poverty spread and special privilege grow.… read more “Henry Ford on Laws”
Henry Ford on Speculation
“Speculation in things already produced – that is not business. It is just more or less respectable graft.”
Henry Ford on Reformers
Ford: “Experience and reform do not go together. A reformer cannot keep his zeal at white heat in the presence of a fact. He must discard all facts.”
Accidental Perverse Incentives
Many government regulations are set up by smart people with the best of intentions. Government regulations are an extraordinarily powerful tool and quite frequently the results of those regulations are the opposite of what people had originally intended. A few examples:
- National parks were originally set up to be “pleasuring grounds” – areas all Americans to recreate and enjoy.
