How It Works & What You Get
It’s a simple, transparent process that puts you in control. Reserve Your Share: Choose the amount that’s right for your family: a whole, half, or quarter beef.
We Handle the Rest: We transport the animal to our trusted, local butcher for professional processing.
You’re the Boss: The butcher will call you directly to take your custom cutting instructions.
You decide: Steak Thickness: How thick do you like your Ribeyes, T-Bones, and Sirloins? (e.g., 1″, 1.25″,1.5″ ) Roast Size: Choose the perfect size for your family gatherings (e.g., 3 lbs, 4 lbs). Ground Beef: Decide the leanness and package size (e.g., 1 lb or 2 lb packs). Specialty Cuts: Want the brisket for your smoker? Short ribs? Soup bones? It’s all yours!
The Unbeatable Value: A Price Breakdown
You pay two simple, transparent fees: one to us (the farmer) and one to the butcher. Our Price: $5.00 per pound (based on hanging weight). Butcher’s Fee: Approximately $0.99 per pound for standard cut and wrap (paid directly to the butcher upon pickup).
Let’s look at an example for a half beef: An average half beef has a hanging weight of approximately 400 lbs.
Payment to Farmer: 400 lbs × $5.00 / lb = $2000.00
Payment to Butcher: 400 lbs × $0.99 / lb = $396.00 $100 share of the processing fee
Total Investment: ~2,496.00 From that 400 lbs of hanging weight, you’ll receive approximately 240-260 lbs of custom-cut, flash-frozen beef to take home. Most people need 10 cubic feet of freezer space per quarter of a cow they take.
