We do not have a democracy. Politicians here purposefully prevent basic checks so that they can cheat in elections. Without anti-cheating rules like voter ID, your vote does not count. An overwhelming majority of Americans support voter ID and clean voter rolls for fair elections, so why don’t we have these protections?
Congress should pass the SAVE America Act immediately and send it to the president to sign into law. One correction to your post: The United States of America is not a democracy. It is a republic.
