Do you want to give another 10% of your income to the fools in Olympia who are already wasting $7,700 of your money each year? Are you happy with your police protection? With the condition of our roads and infrastructure for that money? We should be getting far better services for such an enormous chunk of our earnings.
The far left Democrats claim the new tax will only be on those making more than $1m a year… AT FIRST. But for people who make that much, it is extremely easy to either switch states or to run higher investment expenses to avoid the tax. Then the Democrats will say, “We need more money, let’s reduce it to $800k” then it will go down to $400k, then it will apply to everyone. Anyone who is a salary or hourly employee will be hit hardest by this in the long run, and many of those folks will not be able to easily switch states like the wealthy can.
The other question to ask is why they are adding this massive new tax, taking your money, but they are not rescinding any of their other taxes? The death tax, the sales tax, car taxes, gas taxes, excise tax, property taxes, capital gains taxes, B&O taxes, or the million fees they charge you?
