Daddy Lesson #2: The Most Important Decision In Life Is Who You Marry

Daddy lesson #2 of the key lessons I am teaching my kids: The most important decision you will make in your life is who you marry. No where you go to college, not what career you want, not what car you drive, not what hobbies you pursue, not who your friends are, not where you work, nothing else but who you marry.

You will spend more time with your spouse than with your parents and siblings combined. You will wake up every day next to your spouse and go to bed every night. When your grandparents and parents and other family and friends die, they will be there with you as you will be there for them. When you are sick and in the hospital, they will spend far more time with you there than anyone else.

The activities you do, the food you eat, whether you are healthy or unhealthy, the tv shows and movies you watch, the books you read, the work you do will be influence more by your spouse than any other person.

No other decision in life is even close to being as important as who the person is that you choose to marry. You should put more effort into deciding who you marry than anything else by far.
