America has severe problems with special interests getting too strong of property rights and harming the public good. A few examples of this:
Getting this new house setup has been kind of a pain because it is impossible to get contractors out to help right now. I have been trying to get the Crestron guy to come and fix the system and install it on my computer, I need the original builder to come explain what they did with HVAC, I need to get the floors fixed and lots of other stuff.
I am planning on updating the architecture for TestedRecruits (The new name for ProvenRecruits as that one might be taken).
Basically, I would like 3 regions – Singapore, Oregon, East Coast.
I want to use Route 53 to automatically direct traffic to the region with lowest latency.

Sadly, one of four remaining Rhino species is now extinct. The last few generations of humans have been incredibly selfish and have been destroying the place us future generations of humans need to live to make their own lives better in the short term. Those generations will be known for the rest of history for their selfishness.

Bain Capital is an evil private equity firm that buys out companies, then loads them up with debt and extracts as much cash as it can then abandons the company. They just struck again, taking down Toys R Us.
And these guys get special tax breaks.
I think many people let themselves be constantly stressed out or wishing things were different. If you compare even the worst off people’s lives today to the lives of the best off humans of 50,000 years ago, things are enormously better. Most people now have no problem getting food, shelter, water, and the majority have security from physical harms.
I have been working on a seemingly endless list of bugs for my new recruiting application. It seems that every time I finish one, another two pop up.
Often these bugs or features are pretty enormous chunks of work and I sometimes shy away form doing them.
