When I was signing paperwork for my grandmother to enter a residential care home two days ago, the owner told me that Washington state had not checked any of the homes for the last five years after Covid. She said she was honest and did things right, but there was opportunity for dishonest owners to commit massive fraud.
It is critically important to us taxpayers in Washington state that actual fraud investigations happen to rebuild trust. That is unlikely to happen under our current Democrat governor and Democrat attorney general, both of who say they will not only not investigate anyone, but plan to charge any journalists who do so!
