You should continue to follow up on the ‘debt cancellation’ and make sure you have some paperwork documenting their finding that the claim was invalid- not just canceled. I’ve seen stories on Al Gore’s “The Internet” that talk about people thinking that the debt issue was resolved only to find that it was still being reported to the credit agencies, or sold to other collection firms.
