I work with hundreds of employees and hundreds of clients, and have seen all sorts of folks over time. Recently, there have been a couple of really terrible people though… these two basically have been harassing me nonstop to the point that I’ve had to get the police involved. Hopefully the police will be able to resolve this.

Laurel’s Birthday Weekend
Riverside Quarry
I had an idea that it would be interesting to try to buy the Riverside Quarry and turn it into an adult outdoor amusement park. The biggest issue would be liability I think.
Activities that could be offered:
- Rock climbing (clean up the wall a bit more and make sure all the bolts are safe)
- Dirt biking / ATV rentals
- Paintball (have an enclosing fence to prevent balls from flying off)
- Golf driving range?
What is something you’ve done unexpectedly that made you a lot of money?
Nine years ago, I ran a small online shop selling digital automotive gauges called digital-auto-gauges.com. The store wasn’t very successful but I think it had around $20,000 per year in revenue and $4,000 in profit. Watching Football is Unethical
What?!?!?!?
Heresy… how can watching football be unethical?
I love watching football and played my senior year of high school (mostly warming the bench). Watching Seattle’s Superbowl victories was thrilling and a great bonding experience with friends.
However, the research shows extremely clearly that football damages the brains of basically all players. The NY Times published an article showing that of 111 NFL brains studied, 110 brains had CTE – a degenerative disease linked to repeated blows to the head.… read more “Watching Football is Unethical”

AT&T Business Fiber Down AGAIN!
AT&T Business Fiber had yet another outage again today, with 3 hours of downtime in my region in Culver City. I would highly recommend against anyone ever doing business with AT&T. Probably the worst vendor I’ve ever worked with.
Zayo is getting their fiber installed tomorrow morning, thank god.
Very Productive Weekend
I was able to work all day yesterday and also got my best 4 mile run of this year in. Made a lot of progress on bugs with our recruiting system. Went climbing this morning with David Paradiso, which was also really fun. Going to take a nap now and then get back to work. Haven’t had a drink in 3 weeks which I am also proud of.
