There are two major laws in Washington state that prevent new housing from being built and dramatically raised the costs for anyone to buy even basic homes: the growth management act also known as GMA and the State Environmental Protection Act also known as SEPA.

Both of these laws were initially past 30 years ago with good intentions, but have been twisted and warped beyond recognition by NIMBYs and bureaucrats and special interests. It is time to repeal both and start over.
