- Do a link roundup of the most interesting stuff on the web in the last day/week/month/year
- Write about current events in the news
- Post polls for people to vote on something
- Run a contest
- Post your favorite quotes
- Post videos that are interesting
- Have someone else write a guest post for your blog
- Write a debate and post it to your site – point, counterpoint
- Answer reader questions or comments from previous blog posts
- Use the Google AdWords External Keyword tool (search for it) to see what people search for most frequently
- Use Google alerts to get notices about new topics and discussions in your industry
- Publish an in depth case study on a specific topic
- Look at your competitors blog topics (even if you are only competing with other music blogs!)
- Check Linkedin Groups and look inside for interesting topics
- Grab photos that you like off of Pinterest
- Write about solutions to common problems
- Look at what Rush Limbaugh or Paul Krugman have written lately and argue against it
- Write a review of someone else’s product or service and how you liked it. Restaurant reviews are great here.

- Do a 30 day challenge and post updates and photos on how you are doing in it
- Predict the future! But try to be accurate unlike the Mayans
- Hire a writer to write for your blog
- Write about your pet and post pictures and videos
- Pick something you’ve always wanted to learn, then blog about your progress as you learn it and most interesting things you discover
- Write about someone you love to hate (needs to be a public persona or its slander!). For me it’s megachurch pastors like Pat Robertson who sells magical protein powder on his church website.
