2025 Suggested Policies for President Donald Trump & Republicans

I would recommend President Donald Trump and the unified Republican Congress consider the following policies. I am guessing everyone at least will support the first and ninth items!

Term limits for everyone in Congress. We may have to set up the law so this only applies to future members so current members actually vote for it. But this should greatly reduce the corruption that comes with people who stay in power too long.

Protect Democracy by ensuring that only Americans can vote in future elections. Require that voters in all federal elections provide photo ID (easy to do as you already have to do so to buy a beer or drive a car). Bonus points if they make all votes public.

Energy is the source of all wealth, so free up our nation to build energy infrastructure as it pleases. Remove barriers so builders can create new solar, wind, nuclear, and oil wells and pipelines. This is the route to flying cars, freedom from work and tyranny, and much more leisure time.

Reduce military pork spending. Our founding fathers actually recommended that we have no standing military whatsoever and that we simply raise armies as needed from our industrial building capacity. I don’t think that is entirely realistic, but military spending could be reduced 90% and we would still be spending more than anyone else and be a leading military. If we have a war, then ramp up spending just for that war to create ultra modern weapons rather than using the nearly century old weapons we spend tons of money maintaining that would fail on the modern battlefields.

Deport illegal immigrants so that we can allow many honest, non-criminal immigrants to come to the United States. I have many wonderful people that have worked for me who live in other countries and want to come work here, but can’t due to our very slow immigration process… all while murderers and robbers can walk right across our southern border. Secure the border with a wall.

Wipe out the red tape and fat cat bureaucrats that have strangled our economy for far too long. Why should the highest paid people in the country be the federal bureaucrats in Washington DC who produce nothing and do very little work and just endlessly grow the red tape on those who do. Fire all of the parasites (95% of the federal workforce) and make bureaucrats work again like the rest of us.

Protect American workers and industries with tariffs wherever American regulations for the environment or for worker protections or where foreign nations subsidizing their businesses make it hard for American businesses to compete. We definitely should have these for agricultural goods to protect our food supply, and we should have it in heavy industry and high tech areas as these will be weapons of war in the future.

Fight big finance as many of these purely financial businesses are scams at best. I would lump private equity, loan sharks, venture capital, and other finance games into this. We need to see our actual entrepreneurs and workers getting rich, not parasites in the finance industry being the most wealthy people in our country.

Eliminate corruption where government regulators go work the companies they regulate later. If you are a government regulator for an industry, you should be barred from working in that industry and vice versa.

Reduce or eliminate as many taxes as possible. The income tax was supposed to be only a temporary measure to pay for the Civil War then repealed. It made a comeback in 1913, again supposedly temporary, but it has grown to a monster size, taking one third of the money from those who work and giving it to those who don’t.

Remove public funding from higher education where it has been abused to create a far left communist stronghold in academia. If you want research to be done, give prizes for achieving specific goals (for example $5 million for someone who builds a better spacesuit) then let inventors and entrepreneurs compete to win. Science will rocket forward. If people want to support kids going to college, there are tons of private scholarships, grants, and loans.

Fight racism by eliminating all DEI and affirmative action programs that try to divide us by race or gender. Everyone should be free to compete on based on their own personal merits, not the color of their skin.

No more secret courts, all legal proceedings should be public.
