The 1200 Bistro in Seattle, Washington used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. My friend Ian was a line cook there and the head chef was an intense crazy bastard who demanded perfection out of every meal. The result was incredibly good meals. My favorite item on the menu was the blue cheese burger.… read more “1200 Bistro Disappointment”

Paying Bill the Old Fashioned Way
Snail mail sucks. Up until I moved into my new apartment a couple months ago, I could pay all of my bills online. So convenient. Now I have to pay my cable and my utility bills by writing a check, getting a stamp and walking to a mailbox. Inefficient and stupid. The new cable provider, Broadstripe, sucks balls.… read more “Paying Bill the Old Fashioned Way”
Walkstation
Some crazy bastard invented a treadmill attached to a desk at work. You are supposed to slowly walk while you work all day long.
I want one. Working and walking would be nice. Maybe they can make an ab roller workstation too. Or a bench press workstation. I would look like Brad Pitt after 3 months of work.… read more “Walkstation”
Virtual Alarm Clock
I found a new service that enables you to go to a simple website and set up a phone call for yourself. You can use it to wake yourself up, get yourself away from a boring person or look popular lol.
1-800-GOOG-411
Google has introduced a free information service for people to call if they want listings of local businesses. It’s a voice-based local search service that can get helpful information. I tried it out and the voice recognition software is the best I’ve ever heard. It actually understood everything I said, which is completely amazing. I recommend using it over the expensive version offered by your cell phone provider.
Lexus SC 430
In my parking garage in my new studio, there is a new, black Lexus that parks next to me. It is a gorgeous vehicle and looking at it every time I go somewhere makes me want one. I probably will pull in late at night one night when I’m tired and scrape the side of it lol.… read more “Lexus SC 430”

Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf
I just finished reading Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf. Mrs. Dalloway is all about one day in a woman’s life in late 1800s London. She is an upper-class woman about to throw a party that evening and much of the story involves her interactions with people and those people’s interactions with other and the intertwinings of their lives.… read more “Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf”
Joel got suckered by Metropolitan Park Apts.
I moved yesterday from the old condo on Eastlake with big, gay Brent to my new studio on 6th and Washington at the Metropolitan Park Apartments with a kind friend’s assistance.
Buyer’s remorse has started to set in already. I am paying $925 rent + $75 parking for the new studio. Don’t get wrong, I think I will enjoy living there; it’s just that I’m paying 20-35% more than I should be for what I’m getting.… read more “Joel got suckered by Metropolitan Park Apts.”
1999 Blue Ford Contour Review: Problematic and Fugly
I have driven an aging blue Ford Contour for the last couple of years and it has been a trusty transportation device (except for when the brakes exploded). I have put approximately 20k miles on it, mostly shuttling myself back and forth between Seattle and my grandparent’s house in Puyallup. The Ford Contour is pretty roomy, which is great for tall guys.… read more “1999 Blue Ford Contour Review: Problematic and Fugly”
