Chinese Reformer Gets 11 Years in Prison
Liu Xiaobo, a famous Chinese reform agitator, has just received 11 years in prison. Chinese authorities are beginning to crack down harder on freedom fighters and reformers of the current Communist system. He also has been banned from speaking or writing on a wide variety of issues for two years beyond that.

Tonight was my first time watching a 3d movie. Avatar is supposed to be the biggest budget movie ever and the effects showed- it was a very pretty film. The actual plot itself was pretty good- the trailers made it look awful, but the story itself was entertaining. I am back in Los Angeles now.
Mount Si Take #6
Climbed Mount Si again today with Adam Leong. First time climbing it in the winter. Temperatures were well below freezing, especially close to the top. Probably about 15 degrees. I wore a shirt and two hoodies, jeans and a pair of shorts underneath, but I was still cold.
