Demanding more funding is a common approach of dictators; stopping funding and returning money to tax payers gives the power back to the people. Then if you want to fund universities, you can. If I want to fund food production, I can. I like to make my own choices, don’t you?
Public education mostly indoctrinates kids in far left ideology at our expense. Most innovators and entrepreneurs succeed despite it rather than because of it. And many go around it altogether at their own enormous expense.
I was a business major at the University of Washington and most courses I took outside my major and many in it were taught by far left professors who forced students to regurgitate their garbage on tests. Most folks I have talked to have had similar experiences. A high percentage of people who entered higher ed with a different philosophy came out espousing communism at graduation.
It’s just the nature of the beast… Government funding usually pushes ideas that further government’s interests.

Imagine taking that $27,000 per student and letting the parents who love and care for them select the school of their choice.
Both of my five year old twins can read, write, and do basic math. Imagine how much better they could do if they were in a top notch private school instead of being home schooled by a silly conspiracy theorist? 😉
Imagine how much better all the kids in our country would be doing if we put kids first instead of adult bureaucrats? Administrators unions and teachers unions have totally captured the politicians to the enormous detriment of our kids. Teachers cannot get pay raises based on performance and they basically can’t be fired. Its time to put the kids first again.
