Something for nothing

These stories get up voted on HN because we all dream of getting something for nothing. But the problem is that if we all get something for nothing, no one is left to make anything and we all end up with nothing. Resist the siren appeal of easy outs and work hard and build what you want.

The far left site Reddit had a post recently go viral in which a young woman complains about farmers being predominantly Republican and says America should not support farmers. She claims that people in cities subsidize farmers. These are claims the far left has been making for awhile now.

Hyperinflation?

 

 

It seems that all the big government spending and the massive increases to our national debt may finally be causing our currency, the USD, to fail. I would recommend moving your money out of the USD and bills and bonds. Maybe move to real estate, stocks, etc. The problem is that any nominal increases in the value of these will be taxed as “income” even though the underlying value does not change.… read more “Hyperinflation?”
