Megachurch Pastor Joel Osteen’s wife, Victoria Osteen, is accused of assaulting a Continental Airlines flight attendant named Sharon Brown on a flight from Houston to Vail, Colorado. Sharon Brown alleges that Victoria Osteen became incensed by a stain on her first class seat and threw her into a bathroom door and elbowed her in the left breast.
The lawsuit against Victoria Olsteen looks like it should be a pretty open & shut case since the FAA has already fined Victoria Olsteen $3,000 for interfering with a flight crew member. According to the report put out by the FAA, Victoria Osteen asked another flight attendant to clean a stain off of her first-class seat and when that attendant said she was going to go get another flight attendant to do so, Victoria Osteen grabbed yet another flight attendant and showed her the seat. The newest flight attendant said she would call the cleaning people and went to the cockpit, where Victoria Osteen followed her and then assaulted Sharon Brown. After allegedly assaulting Sharon Brown, flight attendants asked Victoria Osteen to leave the plane, which she and Joel Osteen did voluntarily.
Now that Victoria Osteen is getting sued, she and her lawyer are trying to get the FAA report thrown out of the court, saying “The FAA does in all due respect an incredibly incompetent investigation”. The lawyer for Sharon Brown said the FAA did an appropriately thorough investigation.
I have previously written a post on Pastor Joel Osteen, but his wife’s brazen assault on an airline stewardess just goes too far… Victoria Olsteen is on an airplane to go to Vail (legendary playground of the uber-rich) and she just cannot tolerate a stain on her first-class seat. After all, it might get on her expensive dress. The wife of America’s most popular pastor Joel Osteen shouldn’t have to tolerate a STAIN, right?! Joel & Victoria Osteen are a shame and embarassment on the Christian faith. Joel Osteen refuses to stand up for what he believes in (or perhaps doesn’t really believe in it at all!) and his wife Victoria Osteen is a snooty, stuck-up, rich baby. Not just a rich baby, but apparently a violent one too. Victoria and Joel Osteen are the perfect match: scam artist and vicious, pampered wife.
I simply don’t understand how 42,000 people in Houston attend Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church services each week when the leadership of Lakewood Church is so obviously terrible. Victoria Osteen should be cleaning toilets for a living and Joel Osteen should be selling cheap crap at local town fairs instead of put on a national pulpit to spew their filth.
Sharon Brown is also apparently having a difficult time getting a fair jury to hear her lawsuit allegations due to the fact that Joel and Victoria Osteen are nationally recognized figures and many potential jurors are fans of Joel Osteen’s television ministries.
I find it truly unfortunate that America has sunk to such a point that Joel Osteen and his degenerate wife Victoria Osteen are our foremost spiritual leaders.

The NYTimes.com wrote an article on the lawsuit today about Victoria Osteen revealing more details of the lawsuit. Victoria Osteen has been accused by Maria Johnson, one of Sharon Brown’s coworkers at Continental Airlines of even being racist. Johnson claims that Victoria Osteen barged past her and other black employees to go speak to the only white employee and that Mrs. Osteen was dismissive and abusive to Mrs. Brown because of her race. Sharon Brown also called a psychologist, Shayna Patrice Lee, to testify and she said that Sharon Brown suffers from major depression and PTS because of Victoria Osteen’s demeaning and humiliating behavior. It sounds to me like Sharon Brown is reaching a little bit in her claims, but I hope this knocks Victoria Osteen’s overblown ego back into Earth’s atmosphere. What do you readers think? Is Victoria Osteen racist? Was racism a factor in Victoria Osteen’s actions?
Just like faith, you need to be hopeful and certain of God’s instruments and people He choses to use …He will use them from a cross section of our society….like Jesus knew his flock, you too should know your sheperd, granted they will not always 100 percent be all holy and good….for even christ threw stuff around in the temple out of anger of those who abused the holy place….Victoria is human and expressing anger is not unchristian, its going beyond that expression that we can begin to worry about…and assume it was true what she did, can we be quick to counsel her as she is quick to counel those who need help at Lakewood Church…note, I do not pay a dime to the church nor do I attend it…yet as far as kenya we receive Joel’s word…and there is nothing wrong with motivating people….why the whole book of proverbs and psalms serves to motivate us….Ever wondered the demands of bing a pastors wife, a mother, a preacher and a host of other things…..most critics have only a day job to attend to at most and even handling a family would be like dicovering Gliese 518g or should I say 518d? Meaning…give the lady a break..off course as agrowing Christian, I know we will not be perfect and each day is growth day….
Coincidentally, we who follow Christ in Africa do so from the bible which we say came by sea…nonethelss it brought good news….while we do not have an authenticated picture of how Christ looks like, the many images we have seen, Joel fits one…psychologically we may feel more at peace with him as he reminds us of that look alike to the Son of Man…and do not misquote me here I am NOT saying He is the Son of man….And when he rakes in the millions, are you suggsting He is not working? try and be a preacher for 6 months!!!!!! Finally, no one who believes in our God can be fully deceived, for God speaks into all our hearts if only we care to listen……why even my son Gerry imitates how Joel speaks…and am not seeking a bribe but I know one day God will grant my son and I to visit lakewood church…something about a gentle spirit…and even a gentle spirit once in a while can enter turbulance…why do we forget when Jesus was alone in the desert facing His life’s storms?
what happens in someones personal life really doesnt effect me. joels sermons have brought me through alot of hard times as well as my son .we had no trust in god until we started to listen to joel .
I am a person that has done many things ,but sometimes we try to find fault among ourselves. GOD said that not one man is perfect that means that we all have fault that why HE says that we have to ask for forgiveness.But I have learned that I am accountable for myself and before I try to remove the speck from my brother eye I have to remove the log in mine
it is very unfortunate to read the comments on Pastor Joel and His
very beautiful wife Victoria being commented like this. She has such a beautiful Heavenly grace which inspires any one on earth.
I think she acted very childish in her actions. Millions of good people every year ride 1st class, Business class and Coach to get where they need to go but how many complain of stains that is NOT the fault of flight attendants but the cleaning crews? Instead of making a public seen on a flight she needed to act as an adult, MAINLY what she claims (CHRISTIAN) and do like the rest of us and just set down and bite your tongue. Big time celebrities such as the RICH and FAMOUS OSTEEN’S and many more famous TBN and Word Network think they own everything and everyone!!! Get a life and get your house in order and leave the hard working American Citizens along, at-least they WORK for what they have and need, it’s not GIVING by people they have deceived… Next time Miss Vic, take a towel or blanket and lay it on the seats or drive… These planes only have a very few minutes to be cleaned before they take off again and can’t be cleaned perfect, DEAL WITH IT… I bet if we were to come into your home then somewhere we would find a stain or stains, of course no one will ever get that close to your hiding sins now would we?
From looking at this matter from a Chistian point of view, i can only recall , turn the other cheek, which is what Mrs Osteen should have done ! Im kinda certain Chist wore the same garments often several days without any fragrance ! My take on Joel, like many others, is having smooth words , but no Christ in them ! Wasnt it Jesus himself that said , fox’s have den.s, but the Son of Man has no where to lay his head ! now I know why I felt uncomfortable listening to this Osteen’s words..
I was such a faithful follower of this husband and wife duo. I had lost faith in pastors of all religions and they gave me back some faith in religious organizations Victoria’s behavior on that plane was unchristian like I am not saint and my temper is horrible bit I am not claiming to be a saint. I am striving to be better.
I don’t care if Victoria is a rascist, spoiled brat with a superior attitude or whatever. I am an African American and Jesus Christ was about love and what she displayed on that plane was nor christian behavior.
It’s a pity to hear this happened. Anyway i am not moved by their personal life but by the message of the gospel through pastor Joel Osteen.
Was any of the critics there when this happened? I highly doubt it. Even a referree cannot call what he doesn’t see. I do not agree with the act. But no one knows the true story. And how many know about all the celebrities and famous and infamous people does the media exploit to such a degree that the truth becomes a lie. And if she is racist then why are there so many ethnic groups that attend their church? Once again Thou Shall NOT bear false witness against thy neighbor. If she did what was said then only God can Judge her not mankind.

There is so much hate and bitterness in this world, why should it matter what goes on in the osteens personal lives. I watch him every sun morning, for the right reasons, such as hearing the word of GOD, not to wonder what he and his wife are doing in there life. I listen to him speak of the lord and the lords words from the bible give me hope, and help to keep my faith strong, thats all that matters to me. People need to keep there nose out of other peoples lives. They need to remember the old saying(clean off your own back porch before cleaning someone elses). I agree with Jodis comment re: we are not to be judgemental, especially if we profess to be Christians. I too enjoy Joels’ talks. I’ve read that he is not an ordained mininster, but I believe God calls different people to serve Him in many ways. Joel is what I consider to be an extoler.(extol; to highly praise , to glorify ) Some people have called him a “feel good pastor”? He always speaks in a very positive way, encouraging everyone giving praise where it is deserved, and God deserves all the glory!
