Our dog monster is sick because she ate chocolate and that can cause kidney failure in dogs. Frida is in the hospital now. She should be okay because we pumped her stomach within an hour but she still has elevated levels of bad stiff in her blood. I went on a really fun bike ride today with my friends Kenny, Brian, Nick and their friends. We started in downtown, went to the beach then made our way across the Golden Gate Bridge. The ride took almost six hours but was a great time. We had perfect clear sunny weather and enjoyed ourselves.
I think this is awesome. The world is going to continue to become a vastly better place very rapidly as more people have access to to open online courses!
I went hang gliding yesterday and enjoyed it. My flight instructor was a nice older gentleman named Fred. He was a contractor of WindSports. I thought he did a great job of taking me up for a beginner tandem flight. In a close game where we led most of the way, we ended up losing by two points. We only had five players so by the fourth quarter we were all gassed, but everyone continued to play hard and battle for the ball. On the last play of the game McVerry got a great rebound and gave it to me and I chucked it downcourt to Hugo who did not have enough time to get a shot off.
Apparently to make a point about these sequestration cuts, the Obama administration has only two air traffic controllers working right now at Los Angeles International Airport. There are hundreds of flights and tens of thousands of people across America stuck on idling airplanes right now.
