Covid – Return to Normal

I am vaxxed and boosted. Everyone I know in my very Republican rural county got the new wave of Omicron in the last ten days, including me. No one got seriously ill, even though many were not vaxxed. My symptoms were barely detectable.

I am done with Covid, I did my part to stop prevention. At this point, it is damaging children to keep them locked up. People should live their lives as normal. People who are vulnerable are welcome to take precautions for themselves if they wish. I am returning to life as normal and recommend all of you do the same if you don’t have a risk factor.

If new data comes out, I will change my mind.

  1. I was all for lockdown in 2020, but I am feeling like you do now. We are vaxxed and boosted, but my wife still got covid last week. It was more mild than most colds. I was exposed to her for days before finding out she was positive, but I never caught it. I will go about my life as well, though I will mask and social distance when feasible. I don’t agree, but understand the fear of vaccines, but I just don’t get the uproar over masks.
