Massive Personal Changes

The whole covid pandemic has had me completely reassess the way I’m living my life. I decided that living in Los Angeles is too high of risk for me. Over the next 10 years I think there is a 1 in 10 or a 1 in 5 chance that a black swan event happens.

A black swan event could be a worse virus, war with China or another country, the rise of true AI, civil war, or many other risks.

I am moving my entire family from Long Beach up to a very rural area in Washington state.

I have already sold my house, and bought a large rural property and I’m working on buying or renting a house nearby so I can build a house on that property. I am going to have the best internet I can out there so I can continue running my company and doing all my normal life things.

Moving to 1200 miles is going to require me to sell one car and buy a truck and a trailer to take things up with me. I also have to figure out a way to bring two 10-month-old babies and my wife.

Crazy times.
