When I was in college and afterwards living in big cities, my friends and I looked down our noses at fast food restaurants like McDonald’s. We thought the food was poor quality, unhealthy, and for peasants. We spent lots of money at fancy restaurants feeling smug.
Now that I have four kids (as of about 20 minutes ago!!), McDonald’s is my favorite restaurant. It is super fast to get your food, super inexpensive, and restaurants with Play Places are a godsend. You don’t have to worry about your kids being messy or noisy and bothering staff or other customers. The food tastes just as good as the hoity toity restaurants if people are being honest.
Talking to other farmers, they also say McDonald’s is far stricter than most restaurants or grocery chains on the quality of their raw ingredients such as beef and potatoes. So the quality is better when you have your $5 McDonald’s meal rather than a $50 restaurant meal.
When you are caring for four kids, your priorities change from appearances to functionalities. And McDonald’s with Play Places are the clear winner.
