I think the thing Sovereign Citizens folks miss is that power is not derived from words on paper in books… Power is derived from force. If the people in charge of the force say the law is one way… That’s the way it is. If you break the law as they see it, God help you. Jesus didn’t say obey the government, he said render unto Caesar… Caesar was the man who wielded the most force and his word was law regardless of what the government law books said. Politicians on both sides of the aisle in the US regularly use their power in ways to suit them, regardless of the official laws. Foreign dictators do this most clearly.
