Offensive Jokes You Can Never Repeat To Anyone

I found a fun thread on Reddit with jokes that you should never repeat to anyone. Here are a few that are less offensive (and yes, I realize these are all still highly offensive!):

  • Why did Princess Di cross the road?” She wasn’t wearing her seatbelt
  • How do you know Princess Di had dandruff? When she crashed, they found her Head & Shoulders on the dashboard…
  • What do you call a train full of toffee?

Recursive Functions in Python

I spent the weekend learning more about Python on Udacity.com. I went through Unit 6 which was all about recursive procedures in Python.

A recursive function is basically a function that calls itself.  An example of this would be:

def factorial(n):
    if n == 0:
        return 1
    else:
        return n * factorial(n - 1)

Recursion is great because it allows you to write code that is much simpler and cleaner than if you had to write the same code using if/while procedures.

Top 3 Ranking of Online Education Providers

  1. Udacity.com – limited number of classes but they have the best platform and the best put together lessons.
  2. Codecademy.com – also a limited number of classes but solid platform and good hands on learning.
  3. Ocw.mit.edu – MIT’s open courseware has tons of courses but since they are just videos of the courses taught to students it doesnt work very well.
